Michael is a media litigation solicitor in the EMIP department. He provides reputation management and media advice to both private and public clients, including individuals, institutions and national publications. He has experience advising both claimants and defendants on issues relating to defamation, misuse of private information and data protection. He also provides pre-publication and pre-broadcast advice.
He is currently representing several high-profile claimants in the phone hacking litigation against both Mirror Group Newspapers Limited and News Group Newspapers Limited.
Michael trained at Farrer & Co and qualified as a solicitor in September 2012 before joining Hamlins’ media team in 2015.
